Firstly, it is crucial to clarify that this offering is not an exercise in theodicy. The thoughts for this book have been coalescing for several decades. As a mental health clinician, I observed the chronic nature of emotional and behavioral syndromes and became convinced that human intervention alone would not suffice to rectify them – their origins seemed intangible, and they appeared to be in need of something beyond our capacity. I then considered that such maladies have been plaguing the human plight for millennia.

My focus shifted from human culpability for such conditions onto the entity that created all of what is perceived. Exploring and qualifying that serve as the foundation for this writing endeavor, which concludes with an indictment of culpability being advanced and suggestions being made for a path forward.

The human condition has long been burdened by emotional and behavioral challenges that defy simple solutions. As a mental health professional, I have witnessed the persistent and intractable nature of these issues, leading me to the conviction that they require something more than just human intervention. The origins of these maladies seem to lie beyond the scope of our understanding, necessitating a deeper exploration of their underlying causes.

Contemplating the history of human suffering, I realized that these afflictions have been a part of the human experience for countless generations. This realization prompted me to shift my focus from assigning blame to individuals or society, and instead turn my attention to the very source of all that we perceive – the entity or force responsible for the creation of our existence.

This writing endeavor, which has been evolving over the course of several decades, is an attempt to explore and qualify the nature of this underlying entity or force. By doing so, I hope to not only better understand the origins of the emotional and behavioral challenges that plague humanity, but also to propose a path forward that may provide a means of addressing these deeply rooted problems.

The indictment of culpability that is advanced within these pages is not directed at any individual or group, but rather at the very fabric of our existence – the force or entity that has brought about the human condition with all its attendant challenges and suffering. The suggestions for a way forward are not intended as a panacea, but rather as a starting point for a journey of exploration and self-reflection that may ultimately lead to a greater understanding and, perhaps, a more harmonious existence.
